Panel 1: The
young woman from the first comic is sitting at a table, a number of
sushi rolls arranged before her on a rectangular plate. She looks
bewildered. To her right is a bearded white man very much enjoying his
sushi; to her left is a black woman with hair that is an indeterminate
colour (as we are currently in a black-and-white universe) having a
conversation with someone off frame.
Woman 1 [thinks]: What am I doing here? I don't even know these people!
Panel 2: The woman's eyes slide left.
Woman 1 [thinks]: I don't want sushi. I want bed...not sushi. That woman is looking at me. Oh god...what if she says something?
Panel 3: We get an extreme close-up of the woman's face as she quietly freaks out.
Woman 1 [thinks]: My stomach hurts. Why am I eating raw fish? Why am I here? Why did I ever leave Vancouver in the first place?
Woman 2 [out of frame, aloud]: Having fun?
Panel 4:
Woman 1: Obviously.
Woman 2: The white knuckles and grinding jaw sort of gave you away.
Alt-Text: This happened to me (albeit at a dessert place).
