To the vast amusement of several Junior Fellows, I was working on this comic in Photoshop during Thursday's Don speeches. |

Panel 1: In
the Davies Junior Common Room, Frankie stands in front of the fireplace
and reads from the speech on the pdoium in front of her. Frankie: ..In short, if I become Don, I will be an effective liason between students and administration...and I promise to brush up on my Latin. Thank you. Panel 2: The outgoing Don, Dana, briefly takes the podium as Frankie returns to her seat and Rahim makes his way to the front of the room. Dana: We'll now hear from the other candidate, Rahim Khan. Rahim, you have five minutes. Panel 3: Rahim stands at the podium. Rahim: Colleagues: WYSIWYG. Cheers. Panel 4: Frankie, Rahim, and Dana are sitting side by side on hard wooden chairs. Frankie glares at Rahim as Dana looks askance at him. Frankie: "WYSIWYG"? Rahim: You did so well with the long-winded platitudes that I decided: hey, why compete? Alt-Text: I have never heard a Don speech quite that short, and I sincerely doubt that I ever will. Go to commentary |
