If I had not started reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows within minutes of it becoming available in stores, I too would have behaved in this way. Actually, I probably would simply have hidden in my apartment until I had finished the book. Actually...I did that anyway.

Panel 1: In the title panel of this colour comic, Casey looks askance at Marie as she runs frantically past him. On the extreme left of the panel is what at first glance looks like the cover of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. However, the title reads, West of Bathurst and the Long-Awaited Sequel, and the author's name is "K.E. Maaren." Instead of picturing Harry, Ron, and Hermione scrambling for a Horcrux in a Gringotts bank vault, it shows Casey (as Ron), Barbara (as Hermione), and Marie (as Harry), with Marie reaching for a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Panel 2: In the Davies College common room, Jackie reads a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Marie, looking anxious, sneaks past her.

Panel 3: In the Lower Library, Frankie is sitting at one of the tables with a white, blond male Junior Fellow. Frankie is reading the book. Marie, watching her apprehensively, creeps along behind her.

Panel 4: Barbara is standing against a brick wall while reading the book. Marie peers at her from behind the wall.

Panel 5: Darren, a white male Junior Fellow with curly brown hair, and Tom, an Asian male Junior Fellow with black hair and glasses, are in the the Puffy Couch Room, discussing the book. Marie, clenching her teeth, walks behind them.

Panel 6: In the Davies basement, Casey approaches Marie.

Casey: H--

Marie [shuts her eyes and covers her ears]: LA LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU LA LA LA LA LA!

Panel 7:

Casey: I can't spoil Harry Potter 7 for you; I haven't read it yet myself.

Marie: Better paranoid than devastated.

Alt-Text: Marie's approach to the HP books is rather like mine, except worse and quite a bit louder.
