If you are puzzled by the title panel above, first go here and then try to forgive me (though I do understand perfectly that in this case, forgiveness may not be possible).

Panel 1: You know that super old Flash video that is just a bunch of badgers popping up all over the landscape as someone chants, "Badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger mushroom mushroom"? Well, one of those badgers is, in the title panel of this Sunday-style colour comic, peeping into the scene. In bright red and yellow font reminiscent of the font used in the video, against a background of stylised red and yellow explosions, are the words "WEST OF BATHURST!" and "BY KARI MAAREN." Marie, who has bags under her eyes, stares at the badger as Casey looks on.

Marie: The badgers are coming! The badgers are coming!

Casey: Um.

Panel 2: In the Davies College basement, next to a wooden door labelled "Washroom," Marie is huddled on the floor, her head buried in her knees. Casey kneels beside her. Rahim approaches at a run.

Rahim: What happened?

Casey: She stayed up all night, went crazy, and passed out.

Panel 3:

Rahim: Ah...the usual.

Marie: I am not passed out! I am in Europe!

Casey makes a "What ya gonna do?" gesture.

Panel 4: Rahim sits on Marie's other side.

Casey: This can't be good for her.

Rahim: Well, no, but I'm not sure it's possible to stop her from doing it.

Panel 5: Darren walks by, smirking.

Darren: Why bother? Paint a moustache on her, then laugh and run away.

Panel 6: Casey and Rahim stare at each other over Marie.

Casey: You were tempted!

Rahim: You were tempted!

Casey: ...Just help me get her to her room.

Marie: Raspberries?

Alt-Text: No, I have no idea why Marie tends to hallucinate badgers. She just does.
