Panel 1: In
the title panel of this Sunday-style colour comic, a red-nosed Barbara
glares at a flowering bush labelled "WEST OF BATHURST BY KARI MAAREN."
Barbara: ...So we meet again.
Panel 2: Marie and Casey are walking through a park. Barbara, waving a handkerchief, comes up behind them.
Barbara [to Casey]: Adversary!
Panel 3: Barbara gets right into Casey's face.
Barbara: Why did you invent allergies?
Casey: Uh...
Barbara: I really want to know.
Panel 4:
Barbara:
Thanks to the existence of pollen, I spend six months of the year in
agony. My nose is bleeding, my head is pounding, and I can't see out of
my eyes.
Panel 5:
Barbara:
Did you wake up one day a few million years ago and say to yourself,
"Ah ha ha...I shall create the ultimate evil. All will bow before me"?
Panel 6: Casey smiles brightly.
Casey: Yes, but that was actually the day I dreamed up war.
Panel 7: Barbara has walked away. Marie's eyes are very wide. Casey has his "I'm probably Satan" smirk on.
Marie: Okay, that did shut her up, but it also made me want to shudder uncontrollably and never touch you again.
Barbara [from off panel]: I told you he was Satan.
Alt-Text: To be fair, it's pretty easy to lose perspective after the two hundredth consecutive sneeze.
