Yes, I know I am posting this at3:00 a.m. Toronto time. Sorry, guys. I tried to get the comic up in time, but first there was Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, and then there were the job applications, and then there was the computer that died in several inventive ways and wouldn't let me finish the job applications, and then there was the job application deadline, and then it was past and there still weren't actually any job applications, and then there were the screaming and the crying, and then there was the birthday party, and then there was Battlestar Galactica, and then there was the colouring, and the colouring took three hours, and now my brain is a steaming pile of mush, and I would like to go to bed.

In the words of one of my friends, who was quite beautifully summarising Battlestar 's most nonsensical scene ever: "You are the hope of the fleet, so I'm going to kill you. I have a cat in a bag. It's not mine."

And that is all I have to say.

Panel 1: In the title panel of this Sunday-style colour comic, Rahim and Marie walk together through the Davies College quadrangle as, behind them, a bespectacled bald man sporting a prominent grey beard and wearing a pink shirt and brown slacks hides behind a brick wall, grinning wickedly. Let us call him Weird Beard, as that will soon become his nickname.

Marie: West of Bathurst?

Weird Beard [thinks]: By Kari Maaren!

Panel 2: Rahim and Marie stand talking in the quadrangle. Marie is about a foot away from the largest pond. Weird Beard approaches them.

Panel 3: Weird Beard sidles towards Marie and Rahim, who have now noticed him doing this.

Panel 4: Weird Beard walks between Marie and the pond.

Panel 5: Marie stumbles backward as Weird Beard makes a rather exaggerated point of walking through the space she used to occupy.

Panel 6: Weird Beard walks away, smirking, as Rahim and Marie stare incredulously after him.

Panel 7:
Marie and Rahim walk away from the pond.

Marie:
Are summer residents all insane?

Rahim: That's certainly my current theory.

Alt-Text: This happened.
