Panel 1: In
the title panel of this Sunday-style colour comic, Steve and Barbara
face off against each other with swords. Steve's is labelled "West of
Bathurst" and Barbara's "by Kari Maaren."
Panel 2: Steve and Barbara are arguing in the Davies College basement.
Steve: That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
Barbara: Oh, really?
Panel 3:
Steve: Are you completely without reason? Why would you even consider--
Barbara: "Without reason"? You're just making stuff up.
Panel 4:
Steve: My position is the only one any sane person could possibly take.
Barbara: Clearly, your brain has been devoured by rodents.
Panel 5:
Steve: Whereas you have the mental capacity of a dandelion.
Barbara: Albeit one that hasn't lost all touch with reality.
Panel 6:
Steve: You're a monster! A crazy, reckless monster!
Barbara: You make me want to smash my head against the wall until my eyes fall out.
Panel 7: Casey and Morgan stand nearby, witnessing all this. Casey is smirking.
Casey: He thinks "Skye Boat Song" should be played in "B flat"; she thinks it's better in "A."
Morgan: Well, okay, then.
Alt-Text:
Actually, if Wendy--the soprano in their band--is singing the lead,
they should probably be playing the song somewhere between the key of D
and the key of G. Reg, the alto, might go down to C. A and Bb are both
either a bit too high or a bit too low. Steve and Barbara are, in fact,
arguing about the TWO WORST POSSIBLE KEYS in which a woman can sing
this song. My characters never listen to me.
