Well, I've got a new scanner. Hurrah. I apologise for the delay; I had to finish today's comic while invigilating a three-hour exam. With luck, the next comic will be up more or less on time. |

Holiday Header: It's
snowing. The words "West of Bathurst by Kari Maaren" are right in the
middle of the scene, which unfolds as follows: 1) Marie slaps her hands
across her mouth as 2) Casey, who is facing her, begins to look around
towards 3) Rahim, who has just hurled a snowball at Casey's head while
4) Barbara is on the verge of beaning Rahim from behind with a much
bigger snowball. Panel 1: Somewhere in Davies College, Rahim is standing talking to Marie. Baldwin comes up behind Casey. Casey: Well...I'm leaving for Ireland tomorrow. Marie: Oh...okay. Panel 2: Baldwin sidles around to peer up at Casey. Casey: Have a good Christmas. Marie [eyes narrowed]: You too. Casey: I'll see you in a few weeks. Marie: Uh-huh. Panel 3: Baldwin is right in between Casey and Marie. Casey: ...May we help you? Panel 4: Baldwin: I was hoping the veneer of politeness would shatter, and there would be screaming. Marie: We can scream at you if you like. Alt-Text: The thing about Baldwin is that not only does he not take the hint, he KNOWS he is not taking the hint, and he revels in the fact. Go to commentary |
