West of Bathurst

To be fair, though my own root canal (which happened today and which I'll claim is one of the things that has ensured the lateness of this comic) was long and painful, my dentist was actually very good; it wasn't his fault the tooth was in such bad shape that it hurt like hell even when half my face was completely frozen. I like my dentist. I do not like root canals. I do not like root canals at all.

Panel 4: Barbara turns back towards Marie.

Marie: What--

Barbara: Mmm!

Panel 5: Rahim comes up behind Marie.

Barbara: Mm mmmm mmm mmm mm mmmm! Mm mm mmm mmm!

Panel 6: Rahim and Marie watch as Barbara walks away.

Barbara: Mmmmmmm...

Panel 7:

Rahim: Appallingly bad root canal.

Marie: I see.
