Usual caveat: though the Davies talent auction is based on the Massey talent auction, the two events are not identical, and I am not mocking the Massey auctioneer (who is basically Baldwin's opposite) here.

Friday, January 15, 2010
Panel 1: In the Davies College common room, a young woman addresses a crowd of people sitting on rows of chairs.

Woman: Tonight, Daves will be auctioning off their talents--artistic, musical, academic, culinary, et cetera--to benefit the children of James-Well House.

Panel 2: Baldwin, wearing a suit and smirking, approaches.

Woman: And now, your auctioneer: Baldwin Wing!

Panel 3:

Baldwin: Thank you. My job this evening will be to irritate the hell out of you while manipulating you into spending as much money as possible, but it's for a worthy cause, so yay!

Panel 4: Marie is in the audience, sitting next to Frankie, who is face-palming.

Marie: Is this what your life is like all the time now?

Alt-Text: Frankie is a lawyer whose boyfriend is cheerfully and inappropriately honest about everything. She spends a lot of time twitching.
