Panel 1: In
the title panel of this Sunday-style colour comic, Marie, wearing
armour and wielding a plastic fork, is going up against a
fire-breathing dragon labelled "adulthood." I appear to have forgotten
to include an actual title in this panel.
Panel 2: Barbara, Marie, and Rahim are sitting on the couch in the Davies College basement nook. They've all been reading books.
Marie: Davies isn't serving dinners this summer?
Rahim: Nope.
Panel 3:
Marie: Oh, man...that's not good. I'll have to cook.
Rahim: So cook.
Panel 4:
Marie: I've spent five years eating at Davies. What makes you think I even own pots?
Panel 5:
Marie:
And that's the tip of the iceberg. Cutlery, plates, glasses, cooking
implements, spices...I don't have anything but two mugs and a plastic
fork.
Panel 6: I thought I had until the fall to pull myself together and become an adult. I can't do it now! It's too soon!
Panel 7: Marie buries her head in her knees.
Barbara: Clearly, this is the end of the world as we know it.
Rahim: Huh...I feel fine.
Alt-Text: The whole adulthood thing is overrated. I think I shall go play with my toys now.
