If you missed yesterday's special
$666.66 panel, you may see it here. There are also links on
the Archive page and
the Miscellaneous
page.
The write-a-thon ends on Saturday,
August 6th; there is just over a week remaining. Please
consider donating if you haven't done so already. Even a few
dollars helps. Besides, don't you want me to be tormented by the
knowledge that I shall somehow have to find time to draw 28 extra
comics? Don't you long for me to have to endure this
torment? Don't you yearn to say to the Americans
participating in the write-a-thon, "We are Canadians, or at least
affiliated with a Canadian, and we have raised an awful lot of
money because we want to deprive Kari Maaren of sleep for weeks on
end. We're not sure why we mentioned the whole Canadian
thing, incidentally"? Come on, now; you know you do. There will be editing soon, somehow. |

Panel 1: Marie is hallucinating herself, Evil Marie, Casey, and a younger version of herself in an enchanted forest. Marie: We've been all over this forest. The monster's gone. Evil Marie: Well, that's disappointing. Panel 2: Marie: Trust me to hallucinate an enchanted forest where nothing ever happens. Casey: I'm not so sure you have. Panel 3: Marie: Look around, Not-Casey. Do you see any mythical beats? Casey [looks at Young Marie]: I see one person who wasn't around the last time we encountered the monster. Panel 4: Casey: Transformation motifs are my favourite. Evil Marie: Eh...I like stories with dismemberment in them better. Alt-Text: Subtlety is for losers. Dismemberment all the way, yo.
