Panel 1: In
the title panel of this Sunday-style colour comic, Casey smiles widely
and holds out several Christmas ornaments to Marie, who is not having
it. The title, in festive red and green, reads: "West of Bathurst by
Kari Maaren."
Panel 2: Marie
comes into her living room to find Casey stringing Christmas lights
across the wall. A cardboard box full of decorations is sitting on the
futon.
Marie: Uh...what are you doing?
Casey [happily]: I found these decorations in your linen closet, under a pile of sheets.
Panel 3: Casey picks up a little green-coated St. Nicholas figure.
Marie: That's ridiculous. I think I owned a couple of bows at one point, but I threw them out.
Casey: Look: there's one of those old-fashioned Father Christmases and everything.
Panel 4:
Casey [pensively]: He looks familiar.
Marie: No. No! No Father Christmases! No lights! No...is that holly?
Panel 5: Casey holds up some tinsel.
Casey: It was in with the tinsel.
Marie: No tinsel! I don't like Christmas, all right? I don't know where you found that stuff, but put it away.
Panel 6:
Casey:
Really? I was going to set up your little Eleventh Doctor to look as if
he was being attacked by time-travelling alien reindeer and a Dalek
made out of candy.
Panel 7:
Marie: ...Okay, that's sort of awesome.
Caey [drags out a huge Christmas tree]: Incidentally, your closet is bigger on the outside.
