I apologise for the delay; I haven't had much time because of the
whole travelling-halfway-across-the-country thing. Also, my
niece keeps wanting to play with my pen tablet. I have,
however, finally finished the strip, just in time to wish you all a
Merry Christmas and/or celebration of your choice (as the
well-meaning Dean cries on Community, "Merry Happy!"). I
must now go to sleep, as I have little doubt that said niece will
be up at six sharp, making loud and joyful noises. The thousandth-comic celebration panel now has a link on the Miscellaneous page. |

Panel 1: In
the title panel of this Sunday-style colour comic, Marie is
still handcuffed to a bathroom cupboard. Evil Marie sits on the
counter, strumming a ukulele. In the mirror, we see the words "West of
Bathurst by Kari Maaren"...backwards, of course. Panel 2: Marie rummages in a drawer as Evil Marie plays the ukulele. Evil Marie [sings]: Silent night! Holy night! Panel 3: Marie finds a nail file. Evil Marie [sings]: Trapped by wrist? That's not right. Panel 4: Evil Marie [sings]: Casey Mulligan panicked and ran, Panel 5: Marie attempts to pick the handcuffs with the file. Evil Marie [sings]: Leaving Marie all chained up in the can. Panel 6: Marie looks sidelong at Evil Marie. Evil Marie [sings]: Casey's plan makes no sense! Panel 7: Evil Marie [sings]: Casey's plan makes no sense. Marie: I am never imagining you with a ukulele again. Alt-Text: To give Evil Marie her due, she does sum up the situation quite succinctly here. Go to commentary |
