Panel 1: Marie and Basil are having coffee in a cafe. Marie: So you went to Timmy's, and Casey approached you? Basil: No. He was already there. Panel 2: As Basil speaks, we see the scene play out. A beardless Basil enters Tim Hortons, walking past the register and the display of doughnuts. Caption: "I went just for the hell of it, you know? I mean...my medication's never really worked. Nothing's ever really worked. I didn't even care what happened." Panel 3: Basil looks down at Casey, who is sitting at one of the tables. Casey is long-haired, in rags, and apparently arguing with himself. Caption: "But there he was." Casey: It's...it's not blue enough. Why has all the blue gone away? I don't understand. Panel 4: Back in the present. Basil: He was so much worse off than I was that I actually felt quite balanced. Marie: Understandably so. Alt-Text: Relative sanity is not to be sneezed at.
