West of Bathurst 1078

I just wanted to take a moment to promote a project created by a couple of friends of mine, Geoff Lapaire and Davin Lengyel. Space Janitors is a webseries set on a suspiciously familiar evil Empirical battle station enmeshed in an attempt to quash a rebellion. The series focuses on a janitor named Darby and his motley crew of friends. I'm mentioning it now because Episode 4 just came out. All the episodes can be accessed here via The Escapist. If you are fond of that other epic space opera involving a desperate struggle against an ominous Dark Lord, consider checking out this little parody.

Panel 1: In the title panel of this Sunday-style colour comic, Rahim and Casey sit on Marie's futon. Rahim is narrowing his eyes at Casey. Text on the wall reads: "West of Bathurst by Kari Maaren."

Rahim: Hmm...

Panel 2:

Rahim: You seem okay.

Casey: You admit I don't need to see a doctor?

Panel 3:

Rahim: I admit you don't appear to need to see a doctor.

Casey: Nice one.

Panel 4:

Casey: But truly, I'm fine. The inexplicable raving has gone away, and I won't be pushing anyone into ponds any time soon.

Panel 6:

Rahim:
I'll be watching you, you know.

Casey:
Is that so?

Panel 7:

Rahim: The thing is...I find it very disturbing that I intuitively trusted the inexplicably raving version of you much more than I trust you now.

Panel 8: Casey drapes an arm over Rahim's shoulders.

Casey: I would like to draw your attention to a particularly glittery shiny object.

Rahim: Yeah, that's still not working.

Alt-Text: Marie generally keeps all the shiny objects out of sight in her apartment, but it's possible she's missed one.
