This week's winner of the Write-a-Thon draw is Sarah Copland, who has won a WoB coaster of her choice. She and this week's other contributers will also be entered in the draw for the print in August. Congratulations, Sarah! Please contact me and let me know which coaster you would like. You will also need to get me your (soon to be new) address eventually.

I'm up to 9,112 words written for the Write-a-Thon. Anyone willing to contribute to an attempt to force me to draw more comics? There are fabulous, fabulous prizes! Well...there are prizes.

Panel 1: Marie and Barbara are sitting on a little stone wall in a park.

Barbara: You'll finish your thesis eventually; I have no doubt at all.

Panel 2:

Barbara: But before you do, it will chew you up, spit you out, and set your mangled corpse on fire.

Panel 3: They stare at each other.

Panel 4:

Barbara: Metaphorically speaking.

Marie: Thank you for qualifying that.

Alt-Text: The literal chewing and mangling happen during the defence.
