I'm up to 24,048 words written for the Write-a-Thon, meaning that I'm four-fifths of the way to my goalof 30,000. Please consider contributing; if you do, you may force me to draw more comics, and you could win stuff. (If you contribute and wish to enter the weekly draw and the draw at the end of the Write-a-Thon, do be sure to contact me at kmaaren(at)gmail(dot)com and tell me so; otherwise, your name will not go into the hat.) |

Panel 1: Marie is huddled in her bed on July eighteenth. Casey has an arm around her. Evil Marie sits beside her, poking her. Evil Marie: This is so predictable. She can't even have PTSD in an exciting way. Casey: Will you cut it out? Panel 2: Casey: If you're not going to help, go away. Evil Marie: I am helping. Panel 3: Evil Marie taps her own head. Evil Marie: I'm a manifestation of her subconscious mind. Don't you think it's a good thing that I can still function even when she's like this? Panel 4: Casey: Not really. Evil Marie [pokes Marie]: But seriously: you need to be doing more poking. Alt-Text: Everyone knows that being repeatedly poked by someone who doesn't exist while she takes part in an impossible conversation with one's friend is fantastic for one's mental health.
