So recently, I went a little insane and entered the Ph.D. Comics 2 Minute Thesis Competition. My entry is basically me riffing (without notes) on my thesis; I recorded it when I should have been marking, so I was all sort of, "Now I am going to talk about monstrous heroes for a bit. Uh..." At any rate, I would appreciate it if you guys would vote for me (you can vote for as many entries as you like, so voting for me will not impede your ability to vote for others as well). The entries are here. There are a lot of them, and they are in no discernible order; in fact, the order will change every time you refresh the page. However, as I have just realised, each entry has a convenient link. Hurrah! Here's mine. (If it doesn't work for you, click on the first link, then do a page search for "Kari.") Fun fact: I am apparently the only English scholar who entered the competition. Take that, scientists. I'm also the only U of T person. Take that...er...everybody.

The best bit is that voting will cost you nothing but two minutes and twenty-four seconds of your life! Hurrah!

Panel 1: Marie storms through the Davies College basement, Nico at her heels.

Nico: Look, I'm just checking--

Marie: Go away.

Panel 2: She rounds on him.

Nico: But--

Marie: Funnily enough, I get tired of you popping up out of nowhere and going, "There's something inexplicable you have to understand about Casey."

Panel 3:

Marie: Do you ever stick around and actually explain? Why on earth would you do that?

Panel 4:

Marie: If you so much as think the words "shiny object," I'll know.

Nico: I wouldn't be at all surprised.

Alt-Text: Answering questions gives Nico indigestion.
