Panel 1: In
the title panel of this Sunday-style colour comic, Casey is flying a
kite in the sunshine while, twenty feet away, Marie is menaced by a
thunderstorm. The clouds spell out the words "West of Bathurst," while
"by Kari Maaren" appears in the grass.
Panel 2: Marie and Casey gaze out a window as Marie sips from a coffee cup. The sky outside is bright blue.
Panel 3: Now the sky is dark, and it is raining hard.
Panel 4: The wind blows the rain sideways.
Panel 5: Sunny again.
Panel 6: And now it is snowing.
Panel 7: Lightning, wind, snow, and blowing leaves.
Marie: I wonder what the next ten minutes will be like.
Casey: It'll be exciting to find out.
Alt-Text: I
know I've done the-weather-in-Toronto-is-crazy comics before, but...the
weather in Toronto is crazy. Right now. It can't make up
its mind, and it certainly isn't at the usual stifling, smoggy,
humidity-clogged stage it has usually reached by a third of the way
through June.
