Hey, look: it's Sunday, and I'm posting the Sunday comic. Hurrah. I have no idea when I'll be finished the Monday one. Let's hope for Monday at some point. |

Panel 1: In
this one-panel Sunday-style colour comic, Marie and Evil Marie are
standing in a cave that has "West of Bathurst by Kari Maaren" scrawled
on the wall. Marie is holding a candle, which illuminates three
women--young, middle-aged, and old--who are, let's face it, the Fates.
Clotho is spinning the thread of destiny, Lachesis is measuring it, and
Atropos is about to cut it. Clotho: To go forward, you must go back. Lachesis: To find yourself, you must lose your friend. Atropos: To win a free gift, you must purchase a rewards card. Marie: Oh, good...I was afraid this was starting to make sense. Alt-Text: There's nothing like a solemn prophetic pronouncement that ends in some nice product placement. Go to commentary |
