Panel 1: In
the bizarre brick-lined dream cave, Marie stands with Evil Marie. Baby
Marie has been bricked up but still has a hole to see out of. Evil Marie: Hey-- Marie [angrily]: No. Panel 2: Marie gets in Evil Marie's face as Baby Marie makes a "Well, actually" gesture. Marie: She's the part of me that still thinks the impossible way I escaped the fire could have been real. I have to wall her up forever. Panel 3: Baby Marie tries and fails to reach Marie through the hole. Evil Marie: Why? Marie: Because if that was real, it could all be real. All of it. Casey...the mouse...the fire being my fault... Panel 4: Baby Marie rests her chin on her fists as the debate continues. Evil Marie: Why would anyone complain about being able to set fires with her mind? Marie: Let us just consider the point thoroughly missed. Alt-Text: Imagine if Evil Marie could set fires with her mind. No one would ever be safe again. Go to commentary |
