Panel 1: Marie is talking to Casey and Evil Marie in the park.

Marie: I have accepted that I'm never going to understand this entirely. Why does everything always have to be understood?

Panel 2: Evil Marie shoots Casey a smirk. Casey side-eyes her.

Marie: I'll never understand what happened to my parents. I'll never understand the fire or the mouse, or why your phone never loses its charge.

Panel 3:

Marie: But sometimes you just have to...not understand. It frees you up to get on with things.

Panel 4:

Evil Marie:
That's very eloquent and completely untrue.

Marie: You really need to shut up now.

Alt-Text: It's a real drag when your imaginary friend doesn't buy your self-justifications.
