Welcome to West of Bathurst's sixth-anniversary celebrations! I already did the tearful bit yesterday, so go read it now if you haven't already. We'll stick with the fun stuff today, for Now We Are Six.

I am so happy that I've made it this far that I would like to give stuff away. Yes, I've been giving lots of stuff away this summer. Call it gratitude to you guys for sticking around. This time, I'm going to make it a bit less haphazard by not doing a first-come-first-served thingy. There will be two chances to win, both via draws. If you want to enter, e-mail the answer to the following trivia question to kmaaren(at)gmail(dot)com by noon EDT on Thursday, July 26th:

On what date (in real-world time, not comic-strip time) did Evil Marie gain her name?

Two names will be drawn (if you want an alias so that your real name is not exposed to the Internet for tens of people to see, let me know when you contact me). Each winner will have his or her choice of Official WoB Shiny Object. In other words, each winner will get to choose one of the following items:

Flask (shiny)
Earrings (also shiny)
Charm Bracelet (shiny in more than one way)
Necklace (shiny as well)

You can tell that these items are shiny because they are labelled that way. Basically, I just went all over CafePress and stamped "Shiny Object" on all the shiny objects I could find, and yes, most of them were jewelry of some sort. However, I also managed to get that flask in there. It may very well be the shiniest object of all.

Have at it, and good luck.

We've hit the first $666.66! For a moment, I thought we'd missed it by one dollar, and I was sad, but I was misled by the pre-pledge numbers. There will be an extra Casey panel at some point. There will be another one if we also hit the second $666.66. Incidentally, the $666.66-attaining donor is anonymous and must remain forever a mystery. I've preserved the $666.66 donationmeter below because I like it.

As well, there continue to be coasters to give away. Coasters! And a print at the end! Remember to contact me if you want to enter!

I'm up to 38,405 words written for the Write-a-Thon, meaning that I've reached my goal. If you click on my word count, it will take you to a page that will ask you for money. It will also tell you my word count again. Yes, I am continuing to write (why not?).
